km-3 Mine, Lavrion District Mines, Lavrion (Laurium) District, Attikí (Attika) Prefecture, Greece
36 x 30 x 12 mm overall
This is classic material from the well-known km-3 locality, which is one of the most famous localities within the Lavrion district, known for the world's best Annabergite specimens! This lmatrix specimen hosts “spheres” of fine Annabergite crystals of apple-green color to 1 mm. Several clear Calcite crystals to 7 mm, some doubly terminated, provide nice accents. This locality is known for the Mg-rich variety of Annabergite once called "Cabrerite" and this is a very good example of this rare mineral, with no damage. They don’t get any better from this, the premiere locality.
