Adamite

Sold

LOCATION:

Ojuela Mine, Mapimi District, Bufa de Mapimi, Municipio de Mapimi, Durango, Mexico

DESCRIPTION:

Clear, sharply terminated crystals of Adamite in a well-formed radiating structure form a nearly complete 360 degree disc. A single Adamite crystal to 9 x 6 mm protrudes from the face of the disc. Minor goethite balls perched on the crystals provides a nice contrasting accent. This exceptional TN is old, classic material, seldom seen in such quality. It was held back by Ed Swoboda for nearly 20 years, when I purchased it in the early 1990s for my personal collection. The photographs don't do this specimen justice. No damage.
